"I had an older Vizio that I've been very happy with, except its component input stopped working. So instead of spending hundreds to fix it, I thought of upgrading it to this one. The older vizio had an RF or bluetooth remote so it worked from anywhere, this one has a traditional IR remote and you have to totally point it in the right direction. The remote has other problems, it stops working after a few minutes and I have to take out the battery to wake it up. I'm taking it back to Costco, not just because of the remote, but because of the bad picture quality. Tried multiple settings and the picture remains washed out. Also, even from a small viewing angle, the pic loses quality. The wifi works fine, and the apps are much better than the older Vizio. It looks great with slim frame. The 3D feature didn't work with Netflix, but did work well with another service that gave me a few minutes of trial. The TV still doesn't have web browsing which is a disappointment. Overall, the older Vizio is a much better quality than this one, so I was expecting something better."

Pros: size perfect for our living room, automatic firmware update happened first night, beautiful color, smooth picture for football games, audio works and sounds great, comcast remote interfaces perfectly
Cons: wimpy remote may replace it with kybd type

Best TV for the Price
Pros: incredible value for money, best picture in price group, lovely streamlined design, easy to use interface

"My wife and I were looking to upgrade from our 10 year old 40" Samsung LCD. We looked at all the usual suspects. I was leaning towards getting another Samsung since I had such a good expirence with our old tv. My brother told me about Vizio and how much he liked them so I checked them out at our local Costco store.
After comparing all the different models Costco carries (another reason why we love this store) we decided on getting the M601D and we couldn't be happier. The out of the box picture was pretty decent, but after fine tuning the settings the picture looks absolutely incredible.
We aren't really big fans of 3D but we gave it a try. The passive 3D technology that Vizio uses is the same as Samsung and LG. Everything looked fantastic.
We highly recommend this television. The thin bezel, stylish looks and built in applications (Netflix, Amazon Streaming, Facebook and many others) make this TV a great media device.
Many people comment on the remote, but we have never had any issues (other than the supplied batteries were dead). But after we replaced them everything has worked perfectly.
If you're in the market for a new LED TV you can't go wrong with this one. If you're hesitant about going with Vizio don't be. Although they don't manufacture the products themselves (they buy their parts from other manufactures) and put them together. They use parts of very high quality from companies such as LG (Screen), Passive 3D (Samsung) and other various well known suppliers at a much more affordable price."

Remote and wifi don't work
Cons: remote malfunctioning is a common problem.

"After hours of trying to get the tv to recognize our wireless network, the tv would still not allow us to access the apps even though it said we were "connected". Then, when we were going to call it a night and just watch the tv, the remote stopped responding. We did an internet search to see if others had similar problems, and the answer was a resounding yes. The great picture quality is wasted when the hardware doesn't work."
